🅠 What did you like most about studying at The Language Academy?

Ⓐ “It was a very intimate atmosphere. Perfectly designed just for me and my level. Different to other classes. With Sarah, we would come up with suggestions of things to do. She had a cool style of teaching mixed different techniques. Overall it was perfect – the perfect design for my background and what I wanted to achieve.”

🅠 What was your biggest challenge while studying for the IELTS?
Ⓐ “[Laughing] My spelling. Even though Sarah tried to make me work on this. I wrote many, many essays to improve and I picked up the language through speaking.”

🅠 What has improved the most?
Ⓐ “My vocabulary has improved, and writing skills. That was my weak point, but my writing has improved, and maybe my spelling along with it [laughing].”

🅠 What was it like studying here on the Gold Coast?
Ⓐ “I’ve been living in Burleigh. I ride my bicycle along the beach which is the perfect way for me to get to school. It relaxes me. For most of the time it was sunny and warm, and I really enjoyed riding to and from school. I liked that the school was here in Mermaid, and not down in Surfers Paradise.

I looked at a couple of schools in Surfers Paradise and it was not my style. It took me quite a while to decide on a school, but after the first two weeks here I was super confident I made the right choice. I really enjoy the local atmosphere here.”

🅠 How has this course prepared you for the future?
Ⓐ “Well it means that I could apply for a skilled visa. [Laughing] It also helped me to argue with my Australian boyfriend; now I can step up the ladder with the discussions we have [laughing]. In general terms, I feel much more confident. My vocabulary has expanded on really different topics like nature and the environment.”

🅠 What advice would you give to someone considering The Language Academy?
Ⓐ “Just come here. It is a really good choice to make if you are in this area. If you are looking for a friendly and personal way of studying. It is a reasonable price. I would recommend it to anyone, I already have [laughing].”
